Thin lines soften with time

Every tattoo spreads a little as it heals and ages. Fine line spreads the same amount, but there is less line to absorb it, so we draw with the healed result in mind and tell you when a detail is too small to survive.

Placement decides longevity

Fingers, hands and feet fade fastest, and complimentary touch-ups there are not guaranteed. Forearms, upper arms, shoulders and calves hold fine work best.

Small does not mean quick to design

A three-inch piece still gets a drawing, a stencil check and a placement conversation. The consultation is free, and it is where size gets decided.

Small enough to read cleanly after healing. Lettering under about 6 mm tall and lines too close together tend to blur into each other over the years, so your artist will suggest the smallest size that will still look sharp in ten years.
