She looks before she marks. If the placement you have seen online will not sit well on your ear, you hear that at the start, not afterwards.
Tell her it is your first piercing. She talks you through each step before it happens, checks in as she goes, and you can take a minute whenever you need one.
Implant-grade titanium (ASTM F136, with mill certificates on request) goes in as standard. It arrives pre-sterilised from a reputable supplier in Canada. She shows you what suits the placement and what will be comfortable while it heals.

A piercing a millimetre off looks fine on day one and wrong in photographs six months later. Symmetry is the part you notice later, so she checks it before she marks.

Bring it in and ask. Sometimes the answer is a different piece of jewellery, sometimes it is letting it close and starting again in a better spot, and sometimes it is fine and just needs time. You will get a straight answer.
Ear lobes from age 5 with a parent or legal guardian present, who consents and stays in the room throughout. The parent or guardian brings government-issued photo ID showing date of birth, and so does the child; a child under 16 being pierced can bring a health card or student photo ID if they have no other ID. Cartilage is from 12. Ear lobes are pierced with a needle, never a piercing gun. The age and ID guide has the age rules for each placement.
Briefly, and less than most people expect. Lobes are over in a second, cartilage has more of a pinch to it. Prerna will tell you honestly what a given placement tends to feel like before you decide.
Not always, but it is the safer bet. Availability depends on when Prerna is in and how busy the studio is. Calling or texting first saves you a trip.
